Membership

Joyas Mestizas is a perfoming regional Mexican dance group. Membership is open to anybody who has a love for dancing and learning about Mexican heritage. As a non-profit organization, Joyas Mestizas exists to promote the awareness, appreciation and understanding of the rich cultures of Mexico and Latin America. Dance instruction is conducted by three co-instructors, Laura Contreras, Deleana Guerrero and Luna Garcia, to approximately 30 energetic young dancers. The group functions under the direction of board members and officers who provide the necessary support for the smooth management of the group

Where to find us

Regular dance classes are held at South Park Community Center, 8319 8th Avenue S., in South Seattle. The group meets almost every Saturday from 10am to 12 Noon for dance instruction in a wide range of skill levels from beginning to intermediate/advance. Visitors and new members are always welcome.Call or email:
